Can't We just stop stupid politicians?

Dear Earth, we have failed to not be led into stupidity. War is stupid, so why do we keep doing it? Little warlords and big warlords is why, because we are too busy keeping the wolf from the door to watch the fox in the coup.

I know the tricks they use, one of which is to pretend to be respectable instead of what they are: petty warlords. They whisper obscene suggestions in our national ear, in our state and local ear until we don't realize, when they speak them aloud, that the obscenity is not our obscenity. Then we trust.

We have made serious mistakes trusting the current bunch of warlords.

The weapons of mass destruction, which we originally supplied Saddam, were no longer around. The Axis of Evil.... Who is that? Pick any set of the hundred-plus dictators we subsidize, especially ones with oil.

It is a long two terms for the Constitution, the way civil rights are done in by the warlord fear-casting. World evil and terrorism give local warlords the excuse to protect us by removing normal due process. External threats to "our way of life" present our opportunistic warlords the temptation to "save" us by squandering our own money and liberties.

Fear of terrorism makes us give up our authority over our servants, the politicians, the warlords. We give up everything for the illusion that we can force other people, with their own set of warlords, to love us for attacking and killing them.

The coincidence of external threat serves international warlords so well, I would guess they must alternate their hostilities in order to provide a mutual cover as nation-savers. I'll attack this group, and you send Marines, they say, then we both can become martyred heroes at home.

This phenomenon leads me to propose BOBBY'S AXIOM 1: that....

The purpose of the military is internal political control.
